Madoka's husband is away on a business trip. She lives with her two sons, Taichi and Yoichi. While her eldest son, Taichi, is a responsible man, her second son, Yoichi, has yet to decide on a career path, and Madoka is worried about him. One day, Madoka can't stand seeing Yoichi constantly fiddling with his smartphone, ignoring what others say, so she confiscates it.
